Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Astrology Counsel mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

2. Description of Service

Astrology Counsel is a mobile application that provides Vedic astrology services, including:

• Personalized birth chart (Kundali) generation
• Daily horoscopes and astrological guidance
• AI-powered astrology consultations through SAGE
• Compatibility analysis and matchmaking insights
• Detailed astrological reports on various life aspects

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You may not share your account with others
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings or by following our Data Deletion instructions.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Features

The App offers limited free features, including 2 free questions to SAGE per day. The home screen with your birth chart and daily horoscope is always free.

4.2 Premium Subscription

Premium features require a paid subscription. Subscription options include:

• Monthly: ₹199/month - Unlimited access to all features
• Annual: ₹1,299/year - Unlimited access with savings

4.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Store settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Harass, abuse, or harm others through the App
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the App to make decisions that could cause harm to yourself or others

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is owned by Astrology Counsel and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you provide to the App (such as messages to SAGE). By providing content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, process, and store that content to provide our services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND ALL ASTROLOGICAL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

IMPORTANT: Astrology Counsel is for entertainment and informational purposes only. Astrological readings and predictions are not guaranteed to be accurate and should not be relied upon for making important life decisions.

• Astrological content is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of birth chart calculations or AI-generated responses
• You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the App's content
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASTROLOGY COUNSEL AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ₹1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astrology Counsel and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication
• Google Play Billing: For subscription payments
• Google Gemini AI: For AI-powered responses
• Supabase: For data storage

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Before initiating any arbitration, you agree to first contact us at legal@astrologycounsel.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Astrology Counsel regarding your use of the App.
